If they are free for children, teachers must pay the rest of their saliva tests deployed at school to fight against the coronavirus epidemic, reveal our colleagues from Franceinfo, this Thursday.

Saliva tests, deployed in schools, are completely free for children.

Teachers, who can also be tested, must pay one euro, or the remainder charged by Health Insurance.

"The drop of water that broke the camel's back"

"For staff, a flat-rate contribution of one euro will be applied automatically by the CPAM, by deduction from the next reimbursed act," explains the information note relayed by Franceinfo.

This amount will be taken from their next reimbursement of medical expenses.

Participation is "inappropriate and unwelcome", say the main teachers' unions.

“We found that it was a bit of the last straw that broke the camel's back.

If you get tested in town, you don't pay anything, but in the workplace, you have to pay a euro, ”a teacher explained to our colleagues.

The Ministry of National Education ensures that it is not his decision, but the code of Social Security.

The saliva test, assimilated to an act of medical biology, is subject to the levy of one euro for all insured over 18 years.

Students over the age of majority are therefore also affected by this levy.
