In this spring battle, the Japan Post Group settled the negotiations by forgoing the base-up due to the severe business environment.

The Japan Post Group's labor union, the JP union, which has the largest number of union members in Japan, demanded an average monthly wage increase of 6,000 yen, which is equivalent to raising the base in this spring battle.

However, as Japan Post Insurance's improper sales problem and the decrease in mail items continue to be a difficult business environment, it was decided not to raise wages other than regular salary increases, and the bear was sent off following last year.

In addition, it was decided to curb the hiring of new graduates in 2022, and the number was settled at around 1795, the second lowest after privatization.
