While the night before the night had been marked by urban violence, no major incident was noted Wednesday evening in Blois.

An arrest was made and a car of the Anti-Crime Brigade (Bac) received small projectiles, according to a police source.

A can full of gasoline was also seized from a cellar.

In connection with the Ministry of the Interior, the police had been deployed in large numbers in the northern district of Blois, in order to avoid a second night of violence.

“There has never been a deployment of this magnitude.

For now, it's calm.

We have permanent patrols, ”explained the prefect of Loir-et-Cher, François Pesneau, in the evening.

More than 200 men were on the ground overnight from Wednesday to Thursday, said West Zonal Director of Public Security, François Angelini.

A squadron of mobile gendarmes, a company of CRS, local police officers, reinforced by troops from Essonne, Orleans, Châteauroux and Le Mans, patrolled the north of Blois on Wednesday evening.

A minor in absolute urgency

The northern district experienced several hours of urban violence overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday.

They had been triggered after an accident caused by a fleeing vehicle, following a traffic check.

If the driver of the vehicle managed to escape after hitting two other cars, his two passengers, known to the police and aged 15 and 18, were evacuated in serious condition.

The minor, transferred to the CHU Trousseau in Tours, was still in absolute urgency on Wednesday evening.

During the violence, a delivery truck was launched against the police, without causing any injuries.
