Shizuoka Prefecture and Hamamatsu City have announced that two patients infected with the new coronavirus have been confirmed dead.
A total of 107 people have died in the prefecture.
In addition, nine new infections have been announced in Shizuoka Prefecture, bringing the total number of confirmed infections to 5,438.
