In the grip of its variant which was discovered in eight patients who died at Lannion hospital (Côtes-d'Armor), Brittany continues to welcome Covid patients from other regions.

This Wednesday, five patients from Hauts-de-France were received in intensive care at the regional university hospital of Brest, indicates the Regional Health Agency.

Three of them were hospitalized at Beauvais hospital, one in Valenciennes and another in Tourcoing.

"The current availability of resuscitation in Brittany effectively makes it possible to achieve this reception within the framework of national solidarity between regions", specifies the ARS.

On Saturday, two patients in intensive care from the Beauvais hospital center had already been received in Saint-Malo.

At the beginning of March, patients from the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region were transferred by medical plane to hospitals in Brest and Quimper.

According to the latest bulletin from the Regional Health Agency published on Monday, 643 people with coronavirus were hospitalized in Breton establishments, including 68 people in intensive care.

In the region, the incidence rate now stands at 132.9 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, against 121.8 cases on Friday.
