On March 16, the reporter learned from the Qinghai Provincial Forestry and Grass Bureau that the snow leopard "Lingzhe" rescued in Menyuan County, Qinghai Province, was released from the territory of Menyuan County in Qinghai Area of Qilian Mountain National Park on the same day.
Before the release, the Qinghai Provincial Administration of Qilian Mountain National Park and the Wildlife Research Institute of Beijing Forestry University jointly wore a satellite collar for them to accurately grasp the ecological information of the snow leopards after the release, such as the survival status and spreading rules.
It is understood that this is the first case in China where snow leopard rescue and release combined with scientific research monitoring.
