As the mutated coronavirus infection spreads overseas, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has decided to require new immigrants to wait at accommodation facilities in seven countries including Poland.

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare inspected 17 countries, including Europe and Africa, where the mutated coronavirus is endemic, after having immigrants wait at accommodations secured by the quarantine station three days later. Even if the result is negative, we are required to wait at home for 14 days.

In addition, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has decided to include immigrants from Estonia and the Czech Republic, Pakistan, Hungary, Poland, Luxembourg and Lebanon.

Measures will begin at midnight on the 20th of this month, and will be available to those who have stayed in these countries within 14 days of entering the country.

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has a policy to strengthen border measures as well when an epidemic of a mutant virus is confirmed in other countries or regions.
