Canadian actor Elliot Page, 34, is the first transgender man to be featured on the cover of Time magazine.

The magazine will be sold from Friday, announced the publishers of the US magazine on Tuesday.

The cover picture and the interview with Page were already available on the Internet.

“I am completely who I am,” Page is quoted on the cover.

A few years ago, the actress Laverne Cox was the first transgender woman to be seen on the "Time" cover photo.

Page, who became famous in 2007 with the film "Juno", announced in December that he wanted to live with the name Elliot from now on. In the “Time” interview, Page spoke of a “feeling of real excitement and deep gratitude for having made it to this point in my life, mixed with a lot of fear and worry”.
