After the AstraZeneca vaccinations were stopped in parts of Europe, the EU Medicines Agency (EMA) stood behind the corona vaccine.
"We are still deeply convinced that the benefits of the AstraZeneca vaccine in the prevention of Covid-19 with the associated risk of hospitalization and death outweigh the risk of these side effects," said EMA chief Emer Cooke on Tuesday at a video conference .
In Germany and other EU countries, the AstraZeneca vaccinations were suspended after reports of dangerous blood clots in vaccinated people.
