Several women accuse the artistic director of the Berliner Volksbühne, Klaus Dörr, of abuse of power and abusive behavior.
Dörr denies that, the Berlin Senate Administration is currently examining the allegations.
Dörr had taken over the management of the theater from Chris Dercon on an interim basis three years ago, and René Pollesch will take over the house in the summer.
According to a report by the “taz”, concrete allegations against Dörr were made in January in a letter from the Themis trust agency to Senator for Culture Klaus Lederer (left).
Sarah Waterfeld is the spokesperson for the artist collective “Dust to Glitzer”, which occupied the Volksbühne in 2017. The current affair also accompanied her with her initiative, she says. The actress and author Mateja Meded spoke to Waterfeld about the Dörr case.
