Netflix and Florian Zeller film top Oscar nominations

The Father

, an American film by French director Florian Zeller, starring Anthony Hopkins received six nominations for the 93rd edition of the Oscars.

It's 

Mank 

David Fincher, with Gary Oldman in the lead role, which leaves the head of the race statuettes this year with ten nominations in total.

To crown a year during which cinemas around the world have been (and still are) closed for a long time, the American Academy of Cinema Arts and Sciences therefore placed, on Monday, a Netflix film at the top of the nominations.

No big favorite

Mank 

is nominated for Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Director, Best Supporting Actress (Amanda Seyfried) and many technical categories.
