Between distance courses, isolation, the loss of a job to finance studies or housing that is too small, students are suffering from the economic and health situation linked to the coronavirus epidemic.
This is why Stud'Force, a student solidarity movement, joined forces with Secours populaire by launching a charity marathon on Twitch this weekend.
At the end of the operation, more than 131,500 euros could be collected thanks to the involvement of about thirty
streamers
, according to the official website of the organization.
📢 131,513.43 €!
Thank you 🙏 everyone for your generosity, whether you are a streamer, donor, volunteer, partner, artist, speaker, witness, spectator, organizer or teddy bear ...!
Long live #solidarity, #SauvonsOurEtudiants!

The collection was conducted with the hashtag #SauvonsNosEtudiants.
A dozen participants were present face-to-face and more than twenty facilitated the collection from their homes, via their channel.
Everyone has therefore motivated their community to encourage Internet users to make a gesture of support for students.
Everything is donated to the Secours populaire
All of the money raised during Stud'Live, as well as the proceeds from sales of the event store will be donated to Secours populaire.
He will use this sum to carry out concrete actions with the most precarious students.
It is thus a question of distributing food, hygiene products but also of offering computer equipment to those who do not have them, in order to follow the courses remotely, reports

.
The event is now over, but the student organization specifies that for all those who need it, a Discord room dedicated to student support is still online.
Actions aimed at students are increasing in the region.
For example, the Panzani brand has decided to distribute 40,000 packages of pasta near its production sites in Paris, Marseille and Aix.
In Lille, a restaurant offers 100 meals at 1 euro for all students for a month.
In Montpellier,
Midi Libre
and a Leclerc store have joined forces to distribute more than 3,000 bags of food and hygiene products to students.
This represents 11 tonnes of goods.
