French Prime Minister Jean Castex brought together the social partners today (March 15, 2021) in Matignon.

The goal: to consider the way out of the health crisis.

But, the government was careful to avoid talking about the reform of unemployment insurance, suspended for a year and despite everything confirmed at the beginning of the month.

However, this reform is far from being unanimous.

The employers maintain their reservations on the bonus-malus on short contracts.

And the unions of employees, in unison, are opposed to this reform "unjust, anachronistic, incoherent and unbalanced, according to Laurent Berger, boss of the CFDT.

Why relaunch the reform of unemployment insurance in the midst of a pandemic?

This is the question of the day.
