A dozen left-wing trade union and political organizations called on young people to mobilize on Tuesday, calling in particular for an emergency plan against precariousness.

This mobilization could take the form of demonstrations or gatherings.

In Paris, a procession must leave at 2 p.m. from the Ministry of Labor, in the direction of the Ministry of Higher Education.

One euro meal and "psy checks"

It is a “symbolic” starting point, explained the president of UNEF, Mélanie Luce, to demand the creation of stable jobs for young people, in CDI, and access to RSA for those under 25 years old. .

Since the start of the health crisis, "we still have no safety net, no social protection to match", deplore the organizations that call for this mobilization (Unef, movements of young communists in France, rebellious young people, NPA young people. , UNL, FIDL, MNL ...)

“Many of us live below the poverty line,” they say.

For several months, the government believes it has heard this message and has announced a series of measures to fight against insecurity such as the creation of "psy checks" or meals for one euro in U restaurants.

Unef calls for a 1.5 billion euro plan

These measures are considered "insufficient" by many organizations.

“These aids are a bandage on a wooden leg.

We are asking for an emergency plan of 1.5 billion euros ”starting with an immediate increase in grants and APL (housing assistance), recalls Mélanie Luce.

His union is also asking for a consultation to be opened with a view to creating an autonomy allowance for all students.

Youth organizations are also calling for the reopening of 50% of universities.

For high school students, they want the Parcoursup selection process to be abandoned and a massive recruitment plan for teachers to make up for the accumulated delays.
