On March 14, more than 500 anti-epidemic doctors and family members returned to Wuhan Leishenshan Hospital to visit the ward where they had fought, and look for their footprints in the fight against the epidemic.

This is the first time that Leishenshan Hospital has been closed for nearly a year.

  Leishenshan Hospital is the second newly built hospital in Wuhan that focuses on the treatment of patients with new coronary pneumonia following the model of Beijing’s “Xiaotangshan Hospital”.

The hospital is located in Huangjia Lake, Jiangxia District, Wuhan. It is hosted by Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University. It has 32 wards and more than 1,400 beds.

  From the opening of February 8, 2020 to April 15, 2020, the Leishenshan Hospital has admitted a total of 2011 patients, including more than 1,000 severe and critically ill patients, more than 1,900 people recovered and discharged, and the patient fatality rate was 2.3%.

During the period, more than 3,000 medical personnel from 16 medical teams in 9 provinces and cities left traces of fighting here.
