People's Daily Client Shendu

The central government took action to improve Hong Kong's electoral system, and all sectors in Hong Kong responded positively and cheered.

However, some Western countries jumped out to make irresponsible remarks, and various botched political maneuvers were staged in turn.

Recently, the Group of Seven countries issued the so-called "joint statement" to wantonly slander the decision made by the National People's Congress to improve Hong Kong's electoral system.

They are full of lies and fallacies, and their actions of grossly interfering in China's internal affairs have been resolutely opposed by the Chinese people, including Hong Kong compatriots, and have also been spurned and shameless by the justice forces of the international community.

Hong Kong affairs are purely China's internal affairs, and no foreign government, organization or individual has the right to interfere.

As the highest authority in China, the National People’s Congress made a decision on improving Hong Kong’s electoral system. It complies with the Constitution and the Basic Law, conforms to international conventions, and has a solid political and legal basis. It will not allow other countries to criticize it.

A few Western countries ignore international law and the basic norms of international relations and assume the posture of a "human rights teacher", blaming China's internal affairs; the United States is busy revising its own electoral system and repeatedly deliberating on the security of its own elections, but not Allow China to plug loopholes in Hong Kong’s electoral system.

The level of shamelessness of such arrogance and double standards is unimaginable.

The United States and a few Western countries attacked China for "eroding the democratic elements of Hong Kong's electoral system", "undermining Hong Kong's high degree of autonomy under the principle of'one country, two systems'" and "restricting political participation". These clichés are pure nonsense!

They are not tired of talking, we are tired of hearing it a long time ago.

Improving Hong Kong’s electoral system is definitely not a question of whether or not to have democracy and freedom, but a contest between seizing power and counter-seizing power, subversion and counter-subversion, and infiltration and anti-infiltration.

It directly points to three issues concerning the well-being of Hong Kong citizens: political turbulence or political stability?

Do you want parliamentary chaos, or good governance and good governance?

Is it going to be rampant or the rule of law?

What we expect is that Hong Kong will go from chaos to governance, from governance to prosperity.

However, the United States and other Western countries are afraid that Hong Kong will not be in chaos. They do not want Hong Kong to be good and do not want Hong Kong to be ruled. They simply want to continue to mess up Hong Kong and use Hong Kong as a pawn to contain China's development.

How could such sinister intentions and despicable tricks allow them to succeed?

Some Western politicians must call it "freedom and democracy," and they often speak of "international society." This kind of confusion and inverting black and white can be described as their "housekeeping skills", but it can't change the judgment of the justice forces of the international society in the slightest.

Recently, Belarus, representing 71 countries, made a joint speech at the 46th meeting of the United Nations Human Rights Council, emphasizing that the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region is an inseparable part of China and that Hong Kong affairs are China’s internal affairs. It urges relevant parties to respect China’s sovereignty and stop interference. Hong Kong affairs and China's internal affairs.

In addition, more than 20 countries have supported China’s position and measures on Hong Kong-related issues in separate speeches at the Human Rights Council.

What is the real voice of the international community?

Who is the "small group" who is making trouble?

Facts speak louder than words, right and wrong have long been justified.

Now that the overall situation of improving Hong Kong's electoral system is determined, Hong Kong's democratic political system is moving forward in a healthy and orderly manner.

Seeing that the black hands of chaos in Hong Kong are cut off and the attempt to play the "Hong Kong card" will fail, the anti-China forces in the West, who are bent on containing China's development, are naturally unwilling to give up.

However, smearing and slandering cannot deceive the just forces of the international community, nor can it destroy the patriotic sentiments of the Hong Kong people.

It is undoubtedly wishful thinking to think that making irresponsible remarks and threats can shake China's determination to defend Hong Kong's prosperity and stability.

China is capable of defending its core national interests. I would advise relevant countries that jumped up and down not to underestimate China's determination and stop futile intervention as soon as possible.
