China News Service, Guyuan, March 14 (Reporter Li Peishan) At about 12 noon on March 13, a fire broke out in the grave near Erlingou, Hongzhuang Forest Farm, Zhangyi Town, Yuanzhou District, Ningxia.
The reporter learned from the Propaganda Department of the Guyuan Municipal Party Committee on the morning of the 14th that all the open flames had been extinguished at about 8:10 on March 14 after full rescue efforts.
Two people were killed and six were injured in the fire fighting. The injured have now been sent to the hospital for treatment.
At 0:10 on March 14, the Guyuan City Forest and Grassland Fire Fighting Headquarters issued a notice explaining the situation. After the fire broke out, Guyuan City and Yuanzhou District promptly activated the forest and grassland fire prevention emergency plan, and organized fire fighting and rescue forces to put out the fire.
At 7:30 am on March 14, the reporter contacted the Propaganda Department of the Guyuan Municipal Party Committee to learn about the follow-up situation.
Relevant staff said that the cause of the fire had been identified, and the fire broke out due to nearby people going to the grave and burning paper.
Guyuan has launched a forest and grassland fire prevention emergency plan, and established a comprehensive coordination team, an on-site rescue team, a publicity report team, a traffic control team, an expert guidance team, a medical treatment team, a logistics support team, and an accident investigation team to further study and judge the fire situation. Arrange firefighting and fire prevention work, formulate detailed measures, adhere to life first, safety first, orderly organization, and scientific fire fighting.
At 8:20 on March 14, the Guyuan Forest and Grassland Fire Fighting Headquarters issued another announcement stating that at 8:10 on March 14, all open flames had been extinguished.
More than 2,000 firefighting professional teams, public security officers, urban management personnel and the masses participated in the fire fighting at the scene, digging through a 10-15 meter wide fire barrier for about 20 kilometers.
Investigate and evacuate residents within 20 kilometers of the fire site.
Investigate the areas that have been extinguished to prevent a resurgence.
During the rescue, 8 firefighters were injured due to a sudden change in wind direction. They were rushed to the Guyuan People's Hospital for treatment. 2 of them died after the rescue failed, and 6 were successively transferred to the General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University for treatment.
