WORLD:

An information brochure is sent to the insured with the invitation to colon cancer screening.

A year ago they criticized the new brochure.

It is difficult to understand.

Has it been revised?

Maar:

Unfortunately, no.

It is as incomprehensible as on the first day.

The brochure deals with the preventive colonoscopy and the immunological stool test.

Insured persons can choose between these two options.

For example, you can read: "Out of 1000 women at the age of 50 die of colon cancer without stool test 1, with stool test 0 to 1." The real goal of colon cancer early detection, preventing malignant tumors, is reduced to absurdity with such abstract statistics.

Even people with a high level of health literacy will find it difficult to use such statements to recognize the benefits of the examination and to decide whether to participate.

If it then also says, "It has not been proven that the stool test can prevent colon cancer", then you are almost advised not to take part.

Didn't you want to complain to Health Minister Jens Spahn and campaign for the revision of the brochure?
