After the occupation of several cultural facilities in France, including the famous Odéon theater in Paris, it is the turn of the Graslin opera-theater in Nantes to be occupied this Wednesday by “angry” cultural actors.

Around 1 p.m., around thirty intermittents from the show, mainly technicians, took possession of the room, calmly.

The recording that was scheduled that afternoon was therefore canceled.

The activists, supported by the CGT union, obviously demand the “rapid” reopening of cultural places, at least with “limited gauges”.

They also intend to alert on the "weakened situation of intermittent entertainment workers for a year".

“We can't just wait any longer.

This is no longer possible ”, justifies one of them.

A movement designed to last

The demonstrators intend to stay there "permanently", including to sleep there at night.

They let it be known that they will be relayed by "other supporters".

Musicians from the Nantes Conservatory should therefore come in the afternoon.

The Deputy Mayor of Nantes in charge of Culture, Aymeric Seassau, came to meet them at the beginning of the afternoon.

He gave his support to the demonstrators, while asking them to respect the places and the sanitary recommendations.
