A week after recognizing the assassination of lawyer Ali Boumendjel by the French army, the Élysée announced the declassification of documents covered by national defense secrecy for more than 50 years, and in particular archives relating to the war from Algeria.

A step forward for reconciliation between France and Algeria, requested by Benjamin Stora, in a report commissioned last July by Emmanuel Macron.

The historian reacts to this announcement on RFI.
