The government announced on Wednesday the launch of a national platform for psychological support for students, after the announcement of the creation in January of the "psy check" to deal with the distress of young people.

This platform, https://santepsy.etudiant.gouv.fr, is launched in partnership with the French Federation of Psychologists and Psychology.

Identifying some 1,300 psychologists, it will "accelerate psychological support for students who feel the need, anywhere in the country", according to the Ministry of Higher Education.

Three sessions supported

These psychologists volunteered to welcome the students for a first series of three renewable interviews.

These sessions will be paid for by the higher education establishment with which these volunteer psychologists have signed an agreement.

At the end of January, faced with the psychological distress which seemed to be gaining more and more young people, Emmanuel Macron had announced the creation of a "psy check" allowing to consult a psychologist and follow free care.
