Chef Alexandre Bella Ola publishes a cookbook entitled “Mafé, Yassa and Gombo, Alexandre's African cuisine” for First editions.

Publicity

Its mixed menus - which combine classics from Cameroon and the continent with hybrid dishes inspired by European tradition - have satisfied many stomachs, whether from the diaspora or not.

With its two restaurants, - one in Paris (Moussa L'Africain, in the Halles district), the other in Montreuil (Rios dos Camaraos) in Seine-Saint-Denis, this son of a cook and butler Cameroonian is one of the flagship of African flavors in France.

Alexandre Bella Ola

has even been dubbed “the pope of Pan-African cuisine”.

Is cooking a religion?

In any case, he puts himself at the level of his flock by giving cooking lessons, or by sharing his know-how and his recipes.

His latest book “Mafé, Yassa et Gombo, la cuisine africaine d'Alexandre” was published by First editions.

Replay of the show of Thursday, December 10, 2020.
