Two days after the assault on the mayor of the 2nd arrondissement of Lyon (LR), verbally threatened by a group of young people, the investigation made it possible to arrest a suspect.

A 17-year-old boy, who however denied the facts during his custody.

Saturday afternoon, while walking with his family, Pierre Olivier was taken to task in the Perrache district.

The chosen one approached a group of about fifty individuals who were attending the wild shooting of a rap clip, Lyon police reported on Tuesday.

The scene, filmed by the mayor, took place in one of the parking lots under the Perrache exchange center.

Spotted by some young people, he was then taken to task verbally "although he stated his capacity as mayor", indicates the Sûreté du Rhône.

Two days later, one of the suspects, betrayed by CCTV cameras, was arrested.

He was presented to the juvenile prosecutor's office on Monday and left free.

He will be the subject of a penal composition, that is to say that he will be offered a sanction allowing him to avoid a trial.
