An exhibition on the theme of canning is being held at the same time on the 9th at libraries in Ishikari City, Hokkaido and Nagasaki Prefecture, which sing "the birthplace of canning" together.

This exhibition was planned by Ishikari City Library and "Mirai on Library" in Omura City, Nagasaki Prefecture for the purpose of regional exchange, after Ishikari City and Nagasaki Prefecture each sang "the birthplace of canning". ..



In both libraries, there are about 10 panels showing colorful picture books handwritten by the librarian to introduce the history of canning history, photos of the canning factory in Ishikari City, which was the first in Japan, and about 140. A reproduction of a canned label for sale that was manufactured at a factory in Ishikari City a year ago is on display.



In addition, the Ishikari City Library also introduces more than 10 books on canning carefully selected by the librarians of the library.
