This weekend, the "punch" operation, in the words of the prefect of Haute-Garonne, made it possible to vaccinate 6,329 people against Covid-19, in the twenty centers that remained open and even in the parking lot of Stade Toulousain.

The acceleration of the campaign could pave the way for vaccinodromes, even if the government doesn't like the term.

In Marseille, the town hall is preparing the Vélodrome.

And if the turning point for mass vaccination is taken, Toulouse will also be ready.

"I confirm that we are studying the hypothesis of a vaccinodrome," indicates François Chollet, the elected metropolitan in charge of managing the health crisis.

We will discuss this possibility at our next crisis meeting scheduled for midweek ”.

No element on the chosen location

The chosen one does not want to say more about the hypotheses of places.

"We are awaiting possible elements on the organization, the cold chain or human resources," he said.

The hypothesis of an outdoor venue, such as a Stadium, does not hold water.

For now, the main vaccination center of the Pink City has been set up at the Pierre-Baudis Convention Center, free of any event.

"It is well established and the objective is to multiply the number of vaccinations by five by the end of April", specifies François Chollet.

And for now, vaccine operations occupy only one floor of the vast site.
