Sotheby's Dubai has announced that it will organize two consecutive exhibitions during the month of March, during which the most prominent collections of Sotheby's international auctions and extensive customer services will be exhibited, at the Dubai International Financial Center.

The first exhibition, which will be held from 15-18 March, presents glamorous jewels and historical masterpieces from the Islamic world and paintings of modern and contemporary art by the most prominent artists from the Middle East and beyond, where the pieces will then go to London, Geneva and New York for auction.

Notable among the exhibits are a white blemish-free diamond necklace (estimated price of $ 4.5 to $ 4.8 million) and a gorgeous silver-encrusted basin decorated with astronomical designs from the 12th century (estimated price between ten and ten and a half million pounds).

The second exhibition, which coincides with the nearby Art Dubai exhibition, is Sotheby's first private sale in the Gulf region, and will include collections of watches, jewelery, Fabergé and contemporary art available for immediate purchase.

Both exhibitions will be held at Sotheby's headquarters in the DIFC and the doors will be open to the public daily from 10am to 7pm.

Jewelry and watches

After the exhibition, the jewelry will move to the Magnificent Jewels auction in New York (April 15), the most prominent of which is the 41.50 carat flawless diamond necklace, which forms the perfection of diamonds, in addition to its perfect color and clarity. The exhibition includes pieces from the most famous jewelry house in the world, including a sapphire and diamond necklace from Harry Winston (estimated price: 220,000 to 320,000 dollars), an emerald-cut diamond ring from Bvlgari (estimated price 400,000 to 600,000 dollars) and an emerald and diamond watch bracelet from Cartier (price Estimated $ 200,000 to $ 300,000).

Another tiger-inspired jewelry designed by Cartier and one by David Webb will be sold for Panthera, a conservation charity that is committed to ensuring the future of the world's 40 wildcat species and the natural habitats they depend on.

Among the watches offered for private sale are the most sought-after pieces by Rolex, Patek Philippe and Cartier.

The exhibits include the "Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph" in stainless steel. The blue dial "Tapisserie" is a favorite color among Audemars Piguet fans, and the contrasting orange hands and numbers on the inner bezel give this rare watch a unique touch.

Modern and contemporary art

The exhibition presents paintings and sculptures from the upcoming 20th Century / Middle East Art Auction (20-30 March), Contemporary Art Auction (6-13 April), and online auctions.

The artworks on display will include the bold engineering innovation of pioneering Egyptian sculptor Adam Hanin, a one-of-a-kind collage of iconic model Iman by the late Peter Bird, Yoshimoto Nara's cartoon for children and frowning animals and an evocative painting by Zeng Fanzi.

Presented here is the Nikki de Sant Vale statue of the sun god (estimated price: £ 40,000 - £ 60,000).

For private sale, works by Alexander Calder, George Kondo, Nabil Nahas, Marwan Kassab Bacchi and Paul Guiragossian, to name a few, will be available.

From the Sotheby's Spring Auction of Art from the Islamic World and India (on March 31), historical exhibits, paintings and manuscripts come from many continents and are more than 10 centuries old.
