One photo shows Aline Bachmann in the middle of Alexanderplatz, one of the liveliest places in Berlin, with her T-shirt pulled up so that everyone could see her excess skin.

Shortly afterwards, Bachmann had them removed - and wrote a book called “Never Again Sacrifice” (Eden Books).

In it, she processes her experiences as overweight, because she once weighed 196 kilograms, today only 68, as she says.

WORLD

: You once weighed 196 kilograms and were 1.78 meters tall.

How did it come about?

Aline Bachmann

: Definitely through pathological eating behavior. It started in my childhood.
