  • Three departments are placed in enhanced vigilance in the Grand-Est: Aube, Meurthe-et-Moselle and Moselle.

  • It is precisely in Moselle that the most people have been vaccinated: 72,304 as of Thursday, March 4.

  • Vaccination is intensifying in the greater region, with additional doses and centers open on weekends.

A riddle to begin with: which, in your opinion, is the Grand-Est department with the greatest number of people vaccinated?

Small clue, it is not the Bas-Rhin, yet the most populated.

No, this is the Moselle, where the incidence rate was the highest on March 2 (275 positive Covid-19 cases per 100,000 inhabitants).

As of Thursday, March 4, 72,304 of the 1,035,866 inhabitants of the Lorraine department had received at least one dose of vaccine.

In the Grand-Est, it was 315,825 who had been entitled to at least one injection, 159,949 both.

This brings the rate of people vaccinated to 5.7% in the greater region.

A percentage that continues to increase, even on weekends.

The Regional Health Agency (ARS) has indeed announced an acceleration of vaccination this Saturday and even this Sunday.

For Aube, Meurthe-et-Moselle and Moselle, that is to say the three departments in enhanced vigilance, “11,700 additional doses of vaccines (Pfizer)” were made available.

A center open this Sunday in Strasbourg

In the Bas-Rhin, ten vaccination centers were open on Saturday, against one this Sunday: Place de la Bourse, in Strasbourg.

And from this Monday, the centers of Illkirch and Schiltigheim will be reinforced with 1,600 additional first injection appointments.

They have been open since Saturday for reservation on sante.fr, details the ARS.

Still intended for people who can be vaccinated today: people over 75 years old, those aged 50 to 74 years with co-morbidities, those from 18 years of age who present a very high risk pathology of serious form and finally health professionals.
