It has been almost a year since the
pandemic
locked us in a confinement that lasted for several months but from which we have not finished leaving.
Spain has been hit by three waves that have left more deaths than any country should have to watch, and despite the fact that we already know more about
Covid-19
than 12 months ago, we continue to make mistakes that do not allow us to leave behind a story that lasts too long.

The Department of Covid-19, a figure that breaks a record in the South American country.
According to data from the newspaper 'G1 Globo', in the first wave of the pandemic in the Latin American region, the maximum number of patients hospitalized in Sao Paulo was 15,289 but, since last week, this number has been exceeded every day.

8.05 The virus was already circulating in February, but it was confused with the flu
The first autochthonous contagion of coronavirus in Spain was confirmed on February 26, 2020, when a 62-year-old Andalusian man who had not traveled to any risk area tested positive and had to be admitted to the Virgen del Rocío Hospital in Seville.
Cristina G. Lucio has more details in this chronicle.
8.03 A year of mistakes that Spain keeps repeating
All countries have been affected by the pandemic, but a year later some have paid a higher price in lives and economic effects.
Spain has experienced three waves, the last one especially virulent despite having more tools and knowing the virus better.
Partisan struggles over technical criteria have marked many of the mistakes made.
Rocío R. García-Abadillo tells us about it in this article.
