“You were born a girl.

I must tell you that girls in this world don't always have the same rights as men.

Yes, even in 2021. "It is with these words, among others, that the artist Apple addresses one of the thousand little girls who will be born on March 8, 2021, a letter all in sensitivity that

as part of the # 1000possibles campaign, organized by the Ministry of Equality on the occasion of International Women's Rights Day.

Seventy letters written by women artists and female personalities will be sent to these 1,000 little girls, a “message of hope” that Minister Elisabeth Moreno wished to send, so that they could one day “draw inspiration from it”. 'inspiration'.

Among these personalities are the singer and composer Nolwenn Leroy, the comedian Mamouz, the activist Latifa Ibn Ziaten, mother of the soldier assassinated by the terrorist Mohammed Merah, the activist and writer Grace Ly, the gendarmerie colonel Karine Lejeune, the judokate Clarisse Agbegnenou, conductor Zahia Zioumani, writer Djiaili Amadou Amal, founder of Leetchi, Céline Lazorthes, and many more.

We reproduce here in full the moving letter from Pomme, an artist committed to sexual violence.

"Dear you,

Here you are among us.

So here you are, you arrive in a world that is not quite right.

I mean, the earth is round, we've known that for a good number of years now, but not all humans are round and soft like you.

You were born a girl.

I must tell you that girls in this world don't always have the same rights as men.

Yes, even in 2021. There is no good reason for that, other than that the men have decided and that they are very, very long on the change.

We have been fighting for years, women and men, for change to happen faster, and for us to be considered exactly like men.

It's moving forward, even if it's long.

You can, if you want later, join this huge movement, which is called feminism, and which keeps me and hundreds of thousands of people alive.

We will need you.

In the meantime, here are some things you should know, you can write them down somewhere in the pit of your heart, make good use of them.

First of all, you were born a girl, but if you feel more like a boy or more in between, that's normal.

In fact, the word normal doesn't mean anything, you can put whatever you want in it.

You can be a boy if you want, you are free to be whoever you want.

If you feel like a girl, that's wonderful too.

You are you.

You're going to come across situations where you'll be belittled, treated differently because you're a girl, people will pay close attention to your appearance, it's called sexism.

It's also called misogyny.

You will have to develop a force and an incredible courage to face these situations, but you will see, this courage will be your magic power throughout your life.

There are different ways you can fill your courage tank every day.

For example, looking at yourself in the mirror and telling yourself that you are beautiful, taking care of your body and your heart, and sleeping as much as possible for the days when you have to deal with nasty sexism and misogyny.

These villains can inhabit both women and men.

Know that these women and men are simply afraid of the power of your magic.

They have nothing against you in particular.

And then sometimes, courage will desert you.

You will have the right to cry, to be angry, to cry out, to abandon yourself, but you will have to get up.

To get up, maintain your magic, it must never be extinguished, it is very important.

Then you will fall in love.

Or maybe not.

You can fall in love with a girl or a boy.

Or never fall in love with anyone, there is no checkbox.

There are no rules.

The only rule that you must always follow in love, as in life, is that of respecting yourself.

It means that you won't let anyone tell you, do things that don't do you good, that hurt your body or your heart.

You are a magician and you must consider yourself as such at all times.

Surround yourself with precious and precious friends and friends.

Girls will be your allies: if sometimes you have the impression that you feel envy or jealousy towards them, it is still the work of sexism and misogyny.

They will make you believe that there is no place for all women: it is wrong.

We are all different and the greatest gift you can give yourself is to take the path of sisterhood.

It means taking the women around you by the hand and loving them, cherishing them like divine creatures.

You will see that taking them by the hand will never cancel your power, on the contrary, you will be strengthened and you will be able to rely on them, they understand you.

Boys will make great friends too, but sometimes you have to teach them things and it will be tiring.

If you feel like it's taking you too long, you can send them references of books to read and movies to listen to, because you don't have to put yourself in the position of a parent to them.

It will exhaust you.

Ah and also, there is no profession of women or men.

Choose the job that excites you, that makes you vibrate, you are the only one who will know which voice suits you.

And finally, very important: you don't have to please men.

Nor to anyone.

Never lose sight of the fact that the most important person in your life is you.

I know that's a lot, all of that, but believe me, there are thousands of us who lost time and magic because we didn't know.

So I want you to know.

Be proud of what you are, because by being, you change the world.

I'm looking forward to meet you,

Apple "
