A German immunology expert: Give priority to Corona vaccination for this group ... and you will see the great impact

A German immunologist recommended that priority be given to vaccination against the emerging corona virus, according to the number of contacts with them.

Immunologist Michael Meier-Hermann of the Helmholtz Center in Braunschweig told the German newspaper, Tages Spiegel, in its Sunday edition, that giving vaccination priority to everyone with many contacts "will have a big impact."

He pointed out that through vaccination for the older segments at the beginning, the death rate decreased clearly, but this group is a group with the fewest contacts, so it has not yet had a significant impact on the epidemic.

And due to the spread of the virus mutation “B.1.1.7”, the German expert considered the mitigation measures that were decided upon due to the closure restrictions as dangerous.

He stated that he expected to "increase the number of injuries explosively", as happened before in Ireland, England, Portugal and the Czech Republic.

He added that he learned from the discussions between the federal government and state governments that "it cannot be said that the political circles do not know the kinds of consequences that will result from any measures taken."
