The pop homogeneous starting field

I will not receive the Grand Journalist Award because I point out that there is a lot of pop in this year's starting field.

It always is.

But when neither Lillasyster nor Eva Rydberg and Ewa Roos went further, this year was cemented as the most poppy in a long time.

Maybe ever.

The fun songs are over, the rock is dead and we have a lot of pop songs to look forward to next Saturday.

Fortunately, there are some good ones to be found there.

Clara Klingenström's non-media-trained joy

Most people who compete in the Melodifestivalen know how to go through the box.

They send kisses, flirt with the camera and try to either look shy or confident.

But not Clara Klingenström.

She looked in different directions and almost jumped out of the picture when she won.

It was refreshing and wonderful to see.

But why did she have to meet Eva and Ewa?

It is ding dong that not both entries are in the final.

The Hall of Fame was a little lame

For most of the evening, I sat and wondered what they wanted to say with the Hall of Fame clips.

I know that Melodifestivalen is 40 percent this year's contribution and 60 percent nostalgia.

That did not excuse the boring inserts.

Just when I could not take it anymore, Benjamin Ingrosso and Felix Sandman came and ran a medley - and everything was forgiven.

Shirley Clamp was the best when she sang

I think the person who wrote Shirley Clamp's script has looked a little too much at Ricky Gervai's hosting during the Golden Globe galas.

These comments in one scale and ironically self-righteous bragging in the other.

The scales tipped over on the latter and I'm sorry to say it got a little annoying.

However, I am inspired by the duel introductions where they said nice things about each other.

That's why I want to point out that Shirley is very good at singing.

Varied level of hospitality - but the concept is successful

The quality of the competitions has varied over the past five weeks.

Every time it felt like the competition had found its form, it was time for a new host and new sketches.

Sad in a way, but I still think that the arrangement with a bag of goodies from different presenters and humor clips has made it fun to watch every week.

Now it's just charging for the final.
