[Explanation] Lung cancer, in the cognition of many citizens, is mostly middle-aged and elderly people.

Recently, the Xinqiao Hospital of the Army Military Medical University admitted to a seven-year-old lung cancer patient. The doctors were surprised to develop lung cancer at such a young age.

[Explanation] The child is from Nanjing. Last year, due to a continuous high fever, when he went to the hospital, he found that there was a 6 mm ground glass nodule in his left lower lung.

I suddenly had a fever for no reason, from 38.5 degrees to 39.5 degrees.

After burning for 6 days, we took him to the hospital and wanted to hang water.

The (doctor) asked us to do a CT, and just like this, he accidentally discovered that he had this ground glass nodule.

[Explanation] Considering that the child was only 6 years old at the time, and the nodules were only 6 mm in size, the local hospital recommends to observe and follow up first, and then determine the treatment plan when the nodules grow to about 8 mm.

  [Concurrent] Mother of the child

The local doctor thinks that if it is an adult, it is highly suspected to be malignant (tumor).

But considering that it was a child, the doctor did not dare to decide.

We also went to some children's hospitals. The children's doctors did not have much experience with this pulmonary nodule, so we hesitated to go in a few big cities.

Follow-up is a double-edged sword. A long follow-up time is helpful to our judgment and our diagnosis.

However, during the follow-up process, the lesion will develop, and it may develop to the late stage, and then the opportunity for treatment and surgery will be lost.

[Explanation] During this year, after seeking medical advice from various sources, the patient was finally admitted to the Department of Thoracic Surgery, Xinqiao Hospital of the Army Military Medical University.

[Explanation] After thorough preoperative discussion, Dai Jigang, the director of thoracic surgery, led the team to use thoracoscopic minimally invasive surgery to successfully remove the tumor for the child.

Intraoperative pathological diagnosis-acinar invasive adenocarcinoma.

Like this kind of early lung cancer, there is no need for any follow-up treatment.

We can completely return to the society as a normal healthy person, without any follow-up treatment, and without other financial contributions, it will be completely cured.

[Explanation] At present, all vital signs of the patient are stable and he is recovering. It is expected that he will be discharged home soon.
