Live venues in front of Hongdae, Seoul, the center of indie music, have been shut down one after another after the coronavirus outbreak.

It is said that an online festival will be held to protect the disappearing stage together.

Reporter Kim Soo-hyun will introduce you.

<Reporter> A

large-scale online music festival will be held at five venues in Hongdae, with 67 teams covering generations and genres, from the first generation of Korean indie bands Crying Nut and Nobrain, Jambinai and Jannabi.

[March 8-14, broadcast on Presented Live website] The

name of the festival is'#Protect our stage'.

With more than 10 venues closed, including V Hall, Move Hall, and Evan's Lounge, the purpose is to protect the stage from disappearing anymore.

[Lee Seong-Woo/Nobrain: Many concert halls, bands, and many people are struggling in pain right now.

Everyone, please help!] In the

campaign under the same name last year by the American Indie Venue Association, a large number of famous singers participated, raising donations and raising a budget of $15 billion.

In Korea, the non-profit organization code organizes campaigns and performances.

Rock band Harry Big Button's Seong-soo Lee gathered musicians, and an online performance platform startup provides a transmission and reservation system free of charge.

[Attorney Yoon Jong-soo/Chairman of the Incorporated Corporation Code: I think this movement itself is very important, let's

join

forces and overcome difficulties with fans and endure until the corona passes.]
