The US Capitol has been living since Thursday, March 4 under enhanced security, facing the threat of a new intrusion, according to Washington police.

Scared by the events of January 6, security officials in Congress decided this time to take seriously a plan to attack a militia identified by their services, a plan fueled by the conspiracy around the date of the 4 March.

Publicity

As implausible as it may seem, part of the American electorate continues to hope for an imminent return of Donald Trump to the White House, still not having accepted - as a real fact - the arrival of President Biden in business.

On January 6, during the intrusion on the Capitol, these supporters of the Republican candidate had wanted to prevent, by force, the certification of the election result, but in vain.

On January 20, much to their dismay and against the predictions of the QAnon conspirators, Joe Biden was sworn in and not Donald Trump.

It was at this time that the

date of March 4

began to circulate

,

presented as the “

true day of the inauguration

 ”.

The thesis evoking this new deadline emanates from a radical group, the “

Sovereign Citizen

”, in struggle for a long time against the federal State, and against the amendment of the American Constitution which -in 1933- set January 20 to l inauguration of the American President and no longer on March 4.

The '

stop the steal

 '

disinformation campaign

that the election was '

stolen

' continues to lure Donald Trump's most determined supporters into believing that they won't have to wait for the next election to resume. the White House.

Trump supporters hoping for a coup

These expectations, constantly disappointed, risk exacerbating the tensions,

among supporters of the same camp

, between those who rally to reality, and those who opt for an “

alternative reality

”, encouraged by the triumphalism of their idol. .

The story of the confiscated victory was put together long before the election was held.

In this scenario, Donald Trump appears as the ultimate "

savior of a globalized world plagued by pedophile and corrupt elites

" ... this is in essence what we can see and hear throughout videos on the internet, relayed by those who claim to belong to the QAnon movement, and beyond, by a nebula of small groups linked to the extreme right and to white supremacists.

Part of this public therefore expects the return of Donald Trump in favor of a coup, signing the arrest of all Democratic officials and their "

accomplices

" in the media and entertainment circles.

And even if nothing happened this Thursday, March 4, the authorities remain on alert against possible gatherings or violent demonstrations.

On the fringes of large platforms, radicalization

Facebook

,

Twitter

and

Youtube

have stepped up measures to fight disinformation and anything that could constitute incitement to violence, deleting tens of thousands of accounts.

But that only shifted the problem.

Conspiracy theories have undoubtedly lost visibility on the major platforms, but their followers can now be found elsewhere, notably on the social network

Parler

, and other platforms, without moderation.

It is because

Parler

failed to prevent incitement to violence on January 6 that the hosts,

Amazon

,

Apple

and

Google

have decided to ban this network

highly prized by the most extreme supporters of Donald Trump.

This had the effect of relaunching attacks against

big tech,

accused of playing into the hands of Democrats ... and Satanists.

Then finally

Parler

found a new host two weeks ago,

SkySilk Cloud

, which undertook not to set itself up as a judge of the content relayed on the site, as evidenced by the press release cited by Clémentine Chaloux on

Power trafic

, digital strategy agency.

And Rebekah Mercer, one of her most influential financial backers, took matters into her own hands.

Heir to Robert Mercer, a major donor to the Republican Party, she also invested in Steve Bannon's ultra-conservative site,

Breibart News

, known for having worked for the election of Donald Trump in 2016. In January,

Parler

saw the number jump. of its subscribers, they would be around 20 million Internet users.

To lead

Parler

, Rebekah Mercer chose Mark Meckler, one of the founders of the

Tea Party

patriot movement

, on the far right of the political spectrum.

It has therefore become a very concrete threat for the Democratic administration, not only in informational terms, but also because revolve around this so

-

called

alt-right movement

, or alternative right, radicalized groups, capable of taking action. , as we saw on January 6.

The authorities' concern is also fueled by the fact that the different components of this movement come together around a common passion for firearms.
