Rumors had been around for a long time.

It has now been announced that the luxury brand Jil Sander, known for its purism, is being transferred to the Italian fashion group OTB.

The parent company of Diesel founder Renzo Rosso, which also includes brands such as Maison Margiela, Marni or Viktor & Rolf, bought the house from the Japanese fashion group Onward Holding for a previously unknown amount.

Founded in Hamburg in 1968 by the designer of the same name, Sander was considered a pioneer for luxurious minimalism.

The brand experienced its heyday in the 90s, in 2000 Jil Sander left the company.

The creative duo Luke and Lucie Meier has been in charge of the hotel's creative leadership since 2017.

According to the industry magazine "Business of Fashion", Jil Sander has lost sales and profits in recent years.
