Jingzhe solar terms is a big day for tea farmers in Wuyishan, Fujian to call for spring tea.
On March 5th, Wuyi Mountain held a traditional screaming mountain ceremonies, praying for good weather, high yield of tea, and increased income of tea farmers, and the start of the "please come to Wuyi to eat tea" national chanting mountain tea-making season.
The reporter learned that the horror of the solar term calling the mountain to worship tea was a folk custom that began in the Tang Dynasty and prevailed in the Song Dynasty. The officials of the Imperial Tea Garden and the county officials came to the Mount Shrine to worship the god of tea, in order to celebrate the maturity of the new leaves. At the same time, I pray for a bumper harvest of tea trees this year.
