The district of Borken is now offering a special offer for those wishing to vaccinate: residents can register with a digital “residual vaccine doses exchange”.

Any remaining vaccine doses that could not be stored until the following day have been distributed to rescue services, among others - these are now largely taken care of, according to the district.

Anyone who registers with the vaccination exchange does not immediately receive a specific vaccination offer, but the prioritization is applied in accordance with the vaccination ordinance, as the district informs.

If doses are left over in the evening, people from the highest priority group are contacted, who then have to be at the vaccination center within 60 minutes.

Bavaria's Prime Minister Markus Söder has rejected calls for a move away from the seven-day incidence as a decisive measure for assessing the situation in the corona pandemic.

"The incidence is still by far the best and most reliable value," said the CSU chief on Friday in his government statement in the state parliament in Munich. From his point of view, it makes no sense to wait until the number of corona deaths increases again .

"Anyone waiting for death rates has missed the time to act," said Söder.
