A shell dating from World War II was discovered on a construction site in the Vaise district of Lyon.

The prefecture has announced that a demining operation is scheduled for Sunday between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., rue Transversale.

Parking and traffic restrictions will be put in place between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the sectors of rue Transversale and rue de la Claire.

Exceptionally, the Valmy and Gorge de Loup stops, located on metro line D, will not be served.

The gradual resumption of traffic is already scheduled between noon and 12:30 pm The relay park at Vaise 1 will be closed on Sunday, but the one in Gorge de Loup will be open.

At the same time, the Lyon-Vaise SNCF station will be closed to travelers in the same way as rail traffic.
