The publisher Volante publishes the popular children's books by Dr Seuss in Sweden.

None of the current books that are now being withdrawn are published in Swedish.

- It is none of them that we have actually considered publishing, says Tobias Nielsén to Kulturnyheterna.

He believes that the issue of directed criticism has been raised before publication.

- It is clear that it has also aroused thoughts in us about the books we have published.

But I think Dr Seuss is above all a person who is an example of personal development, says Tobias Nielsén.

Compared with Astrid Lindgren

Dr Seuss can be compared to Astrid Lindgren in Sweden, says Tobias Nielsén, and he thinks it is strange that Dr Seuss has not had the same impact in Sweden as in other countries.

It was also part of the background to why Volante wanted to publish Dr Seuss' books.

- Both authors are examples of how one sees concepts in time and personal development.

We wanted to see what we could do with his enormous writing and writing joy here as well.

You have to make a greater assessment of the authorship than grabbing individual words and illustrations, says Tobias Nielsén.
