The competition for the Emirati men's category within the Fazza Championship for Saktoun Shooting, organized by the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Center for the Revival of Heritage, was concluded yesterday in the shooting range designated in Al Ruwaiya area in Dubai.

The national men's category witnessed the participation of 192 archers who competed in the qualifiers that extended since last December, reaching the final that was held on Wednesday, amid strong levels to win the championship title this season.

Muhammad Saeed Fahm won first place in the citizen men category with a total of 79 (4X), followed by Muhammad Saleh Al Minhali with a score of 78 (6X), and Khaled Muhammad Al Qaidi with a score of 77 (3X).

The winners of the junior citizen category, which concluded earlier, were crowned by Nayef Saeed Al-Kathiri, with a score of 79 (3 X), followed by Ahmed Mahmoud Al-Deri with a score of 77 (X-one) after he beat Hassan Hamdan Al-Mahrami in the decisive round to determine the break of the tie. Which came third.

The winners were crowned by Chief Executive Officer, Abdullah Hamdan bin Dalmouk, and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Brigadier Muhammad Obaid Al Muhairi, in the presence of the Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Lieutenant Colonel Khalifa Obaid Al Suwaidi.

Muhammad Saeed Fahm won first place in the men's category, amid great joy from his fellow shooters who consider him as their big brother, and he is the 55-year-old participant from Ras al-Khaimah, and he used to work in the Central Bank, and he said: I love archery, specifically Saktoun. A heritage sport that I learned from successive generations in my family and have always followed as a favorite pastime for me, and I have participated in this championship since its launch in the first edition.

Nayef Al Kathiri, the winner of the first place in the junior and participant category from Abu Dhabi, revealed that the secret of his excellence is the training of his grandfather, who taught him to shoot the Saktoun, and is always keen to give him the secrets of this heritage sport and motivate him to excel in it.
