The 50 is back: The number plays a central role in the opening plan of the federal and state governments.

From March 8, further easing in a federal state or region is possible with a value of less than 50 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants.

If the seven-day incidence is below 50, retail can reopen with a limit of one customer per ten square meters.

Museums, galleries, zoos, botanical gardens and memorials are also allowed to open.

Outdoor sports are allowed in small groups.

If the incidence remains below 50 for 14 days, further easing steps can follow for the outdoor area of restaurants, for theaters, concert halls and cinemas as well as for sport.

14 days later, if the incidence is stable, outdoor leisure events can again take place with a maximum of 50 participants.

Contact sports are then also possible indoors.
