On March 3, the first interactive experience museum with the theme of giant pandas was put into use at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.

The Chengdu Giant Panda Museum has a construction area of 7,179 square meters. The museum has seven exhibition areas including giant pandas and their companion animals, giant panda breeding and research, habitat protection, and international exchanges and cooperation.

The public can fully understand the survival status of rare and endangered animals represented by giant pandas through themes such as "Panda Prequel", "Bamboo Forest Hermit", "Discover Pandas", "Endangered Times", and "Road to Conservation".

The reporter found that scientific and technological interactive installations are one of the highlights of the museum. The living environment of giant pandas, the animals of the same period of giant pandas, and the evolution of giant pandas from ancient times to the present are displayed vividly in front of the public through these installations.

The archaeological bunker, fossil scanning platform, and giant panda skeleton structure in the "Giant Panda Research Room" also attracted many children to experience and learn on-site.

Xu Xingyu, a science instructor at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, told reporters that interactive experiences and scene restoration can inspire the public's scientific exploration spirit and improve scientific literacy.

It is understood that the museum is currently open for free. Taking into account the requirements of normalization of epidemic prevention and control, the total number of visitors is controlled in the museum, and group visits need to be reserved in advance.
