Wuhan University releases a guide for viewing cherry blossoms this year

　　In 2020, affected by the epidemic, Wuhan University failed to open its campus to the public as it did in previous years to appreciate the beautiful scenery of the school’s cherry blossoms in full bloom.

On March 4, 2021, Wuhan University announced the 2021 cherry blossom viewing policy.

　　Limited opening

　　Closed management from the 6th to the 21st and does not accept appointments from social groups

　　Wuhan University stated that it is still in the stage of normalization of epidemic prevention and control, and it can only be opened to a limited extent.

During the cherry blossom period, some areas of the school will be closed for control. The closed control period is from March 6th to March 21st, and the daily closed control period is 7:00-19:00.

After successfully registering through the designated channel of the school, outsiders can enter the school to enjoy the cherry blossoms. The time period is 8:30-17:30 on weekdays and 8:00-18:00 on weekends.

　　In other periods, closed campus management is still implemented in accordance with the requirements of normalized epidemic prevention and control. Personnel outside the school must submit an application for approval by the school unit before entering the school.

During the closed control period, if the campus control measures are adjusted due to epidemic prevention and control requirements, a separate announcement will be issued.

　　From 20:00 on March 5th, the public can enter the appointment system through the official website of Wuhan University and the official WeChat, fill in real personal information such as name, ID (or military officer ID, passport and other valid documents), mobile phone number, etc. Make an appointment for the visit itinerary after 3 days. This is the only way for the public to enter the school to enjoy the cherry blossoms.

Starting from March 8, the public who have successfully made a real-name free reservation can enter the school to enjoy cherry blossoms after verifying the information through the designated channel of the school.

　　Wuhan University stated that during the cherry blossom period, a green channel for anti-epidemic medical care and cherry blossom viewing will be established.

Medical personnel assisting Hubei and anti-epidemic medical personnel in the province can register through the official website of Wuhan University and official WeChat to enter the "green channel for anti-epidemic medical care and cherry blossom viewing", and fill in work information (physician and nurse qualification certificate/practice certificate/work permit) and anti-epidemic information (Aid Hubei/Anti-epidemic Certificate) and other real information, register the visit itinerary at least one day later, you can bring 1 to 2 family members at the same time, and you must complete the information registration as required.

The school also accepts the aid of Hubei and the province's anti-epidemic medical team to come to the school to enjoy cherry blossoms in the name of a team, and will arrange a dedicated docking service.

　　During the period from March 6th to March 21st, successfully registered medical aid workers in Hubei and anti-epidemic medical personnel in the province can enter the school to enjoy cherry blossoms after verifying their information through the school's designated channel.

The school will set up a special field for anti-epidemic medical care and cherry blossom viewing on March 13th and 14th, and appointments from other members of the public are not accepted.

　　According to reports, all personnel coming to the school must show their health code/travel code, take temperature measurements, and wear masks before entering the school to implement necessary epidemic prevention and control measures.

　　The school has set up “reservation visitor channels” at the main gate, Chagang gate, Wenlan gate, and attached middle gate, and other school gates are prohibited from passing through; the valid identification information submitted in the appointment system is the only certificate for the public to verify and enter the school after a successful appointment; During school hours, reserved visitors can hold valid IDs, enter the school after verifying the reservation information in the "reservation visitor channel", and then proceed to the secondary verification points such as Jianhu and Luojia Resort, and verify again in the "reservation visitor channel" After the identity information, you can enter the cherry blossom viewing area.

Teachers, students and staff of our school can enter and exit the campus and the cherry blossom viewing area through the "in-school personnel passage" with their campus card, work permit or student ID (except for closed school gates).

Alumni can make an appointment (at least 1 day in advance) through the "Alumni Information System" (see the official account of the Wuhan University Alumni Association). After the appointment is successful, hold an ID card (or passport, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan pass) and go through the "appointment visitor channel" verification Enter the school to enjoy the cherry blossoms.

　　Precautions

　　Social vehicles are prohibited from entering the school to sell drinks at designated locations

　　Wuhan University stated that during the cherry blossom period, all social motor vehicles are prohibited from entering the school.

If you really need to come to the school to handle business, the counterpart unit in the school must report the cause and vehicle information to the Security Department for approval, and then the designated school gate will check and enter the school.

Shared bicycles, shared electric vehicles, and shared cars are all prohibited from entering the school.

Motor vehicles are authorized to pass through the school normally (except for closed school gates).

　　During the weekend, all motor vehicles are prohibited from entering the cherry blossom viewing area on the campus (part of the school gate closure plan and the traffic control plan for key road sections such as the central area are separately issued by the school’s security department).

　　During the cherry blossom period, beverage sales services will be provided at designated locations in the school and a number of mobile toilets will be installed.

Without the approval of the School Security Department, no organization, group or individual may set up stalls in the school; shall not post, hang and distribute leaflets or advertisements; shall not engage in other profit-making activities.

The school cooperates with the public security and urban management departments to deal with violations of the above regulations in accordance with the law.

　　With regard to teaching, scientific research, office buildings (libraries, rooms, and dormitories) and student dormitories on campus, Wuhan University said that it would not allow the public to visit.

The student cafeteria does not provide public dining services.

Without the approval of the Propaganda Department and the Security Department, it is strictly forbidden to fly "low, slow and small" aircraft in the campus airspace.

　　Wuhan University stated that, except for the online appointment channel designated by the school, the school has never commissioned any other institution or individual to provide appointment or visit services.

The public is requested to be alert to any form of paid services (such as "no appointment" admission to the school, special bus tours, paid tour guides, etc.) to avoid being deceived.
