Not all people who pass the coronavirus develop enough antibodies

Not all people who have passed the

coronavirus

develop sufficient antibodies to protect them against the virus, according to doctors and specialists from VithasLab, who warn that the determination of antibodies depends on whether they were acquired after the disease or after

vaccination

.

"In some asymptomatic cases, or with very mild symptoms, the body reacts naturally and very quickly to the presence of the

coronavirus

, which causes

Covid-19

. This rapid response has a negative long-term aspect, since, when fighting the infection early, does not allow the formation of

specific antibodies

, and therefore does not generate immunity ", said Vicenta Sanhermelando Rossi, head of the VithasLab laboratory in Valencia.

For this reason, he has highlighted the importance that people who have passed the

Covid-19 undergo

an antibody determination analysis.

One of the most effective methods for this is the serological determination of IgG with the 'ELISA' method, an immunoassay that quantifies the amount of existing antibodies in vitro.
