March 3, 2021 is the eighth "World Wildlife Day".

Nyingchi is known as "Tibet Jiangnan". It has rich biodiversity and preserves many rare, endemic and ancient wild flora and fauna. It is one of the global biodiversity hotspots.

In recent years, Nyingchi City has continuously increased the protection of wild animals. In conjunction with the Chinese Academy of Sciences and other scientific research institutions, using infrared cameras and other technical methods, many new species and new distributions of wild animals have been discovered.

The camera recorded the "famous appearances" of protected animals such as white-cheeked macaques, capped leaf monkeys, clouded leopards, golden cats, Himalayan antelopes, and Gongshan takins.

At present, 120 species of national key protected wild animals and 28 species of national key protected plants have been recorded in Linzhi City.
