Due to the problem that materials related to Hansen's disease patients, which are believed to have been created in Nagano prefecture in the Meiji era, were exhibited on the Internet auction site, the "Hansen's Disease Citizens' Association" created by former patients and specialists collected materials from the seller's second-hand bookstore. I found that it was recovered.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, from February 13th to 18th, materials that seemed to summarize information on Hansen's disease patients were put up on the Internet auction site.

The material is believed to have been created by the Omachi Police Station in Nagano Prefecture in 1902, and the bid was for the fact that an image showing a part of the contents such as the patient's name, address, date of birth, and medical condition was posted. The auction ended without it and the listing was deleted.

According to Nagano Prefecture, in February, the exhibitor went to an antiquarian bookstore in Saitama Prefecture to discuss the collection of materials, but negotiations were difficult, and then he consulted with the Hansen's Disease Citizens' Association.

In response to this, on the 3rd, the Citizens' Association went to an antiquarian bookstore and collected the materials after paying the cost.

Hiroshi Kurube, the secretary general of the Hansen's Disease Citizens' Association, said, "I am relieved that I can prevent the outflow for the time being. At the same time, I would like to request the government about the way of management. "
