The artificial rain enhancement in Jiangxi Province has filed before the plane takes off, and the Civil Aviation Supervision Bureau has stepped in
China Broadcasting Network Ji’an, March 2 (Reporter Xiong Fang) At 15:19 pm on March 1, the Beidahuang General Airline B-10GD model leased by the Jiangxi Meteorological Bureau was preparing to perform artificial augmentation over Ji’an County, Jiangxi Province. During the rain mission, the plane suddenly crashed, killing 5 people on board.
It is reported that the accident investigation team is being established, and the official response stated that it can be confirmed that the aircraft had been filed before takeoff.
Zhan Fengxing, director of the Jiangxi Meteorological Bureau, told reporters that out of the five dead, three were currently performing artificial precipitation enhancement operations, and the other two were crew members of the Great Northern Wilderness General Airlines.
Zhan Fengxing: "The captain and the deputy captain, (other) 3 people, one in our bureau, and two from the Heilongjiang Meteorological Bureau."
Zhan Fengxing told reporters that the accident investigation team is being established and the aftermath is also being carried out.
In response to reporters asking whether the accident plane was filed before takeoff, whether the accident occurred just after takeoff or a period of time after takeoff, Zhan Fengxing, director of the Jiangxi Meteorological Bureau, said that the plane had been filed before takeoff. As for the cause of the crash, civil aviation professionals must come analysis.
"The (accident) is (occurring) after takeoff for a certain period of time. The civil aviation records must be checked at the specific time. The cause of the (accident) is analyzed by the Civil Aviation Jiangxi Supervision Bureau." said Zhan Fengxing, director of the Jiangxi Meteorological Bureau.
Since the drought in Jiangxi has been more obvious from October 2020, the whole province is waiting for it, closely monitoring weather changes, and looking for opportunities to carry out artificial rainfall enhancement operations.
Regarding this unexpected accident, Zhan Fengxing, director of the Jiangxi Meteorological Bureau, said that management will be further regulated and the cause of the accident must be investigated.
