A can of Coca-Cola solves the mystery of a 40-year-old murder


A can of Coca-Cola helped solve the mystery of a murder that occurred 40 years ago in a US state.

 The British newspaper "The Independent" reported that, by adopting a new technique known as "genetic genealogy," the police managed to reach the suspect.

Through a can of Coca-Cola spotted at the crime scene in Sherry Hills, state 40 years ago.


Investigators said a 62-year-old man known as David Anderson who lived a normal life since he assassinated Sylvia Cowell in August 1981 will now face trial for the murder.

According to police investigations, the victim was also sexually assaulted before she was stabbed at her home.
