Today (1st) Gangwon-do's main roads looked like a huge parking lot, and traffic accidents occurred in various places.

Even now, there are heavy snow warnings in some areas.

Reporter Jeong Gu-hee reports how long and how much more snow will fall.

<Reporter> The

road from Sokcho to Misiryeong Tunnel is about 5 pm today.

The entire road has turned into a snowy road, and the vehicles ahead are not moving at all.

A group of cars that are buried in snow are pushed together, but they only keep spinning.

The snowplow has arrived, but it is not enough to solve the road situation.

[Mishiryeong isolation informant: I left at 12, but after 5 hours in isolation, the police come and go back and take it down with me.

(The snowplow) only pushed the snow, but now it slips, so the cars can't go up.]

Snow poured from the morning and 20cm of snow accumulated in Gangneung and 14cm of Sokcho.

At around 11:50 am, a double collision occurred in the Yangyang area of the Yangyang Expressway in Seoul, and two people were transferred to the hospital.

[Jung-ho Yoon/Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do: It snowed so suddenly that the road was very slippery, and a lot of vehicles are still slipping on the road.]

At 7:40 pm Near the Pyeongchang rest area, the road is still eye-catching, so the cars are not speeding up.

As snow clouds are still developing, Gangwon Yeongdong is expected to see 10~40cm of snow, up to 50cm, by tomorrow afternoon.

Snow is forecast up to 15 cm in the Yeongseo area by tomorrow morning, and 3 to 8 cm in northern Gyeonggi and eastern Gyeonggi, and northern Gyeongbuk.

The Meteorological Administration said that this snow is heavy and wet because of the moisture of the East Sea, and asked to be careful about accidents in which green houses or weak buildings collapse.
